Overall Assessment: This is a spectacular Spanish made, W.L. Moore imported Armas Garbi Model No. 103-B with beautiful rose and scroll engraving, brilliantly colored case coloring and a quick sighting, well balanced design. The gun doesn't appear to have seen much use, in Fine-Excellent condition, likely having seen more handling to inspect the gun's appearance than actual firing. With its 27" 12 gauge barrels choked Modified and Improved Cylinder, this ought to make for a good gun for upland bird or a classy piece to take out to your local Sporting Clays range. In any case, it is a very attractive gun that will add well to any collection. Please see pictures and contact me for any questions.
From William Larkin Moore:
Armas Garbi guns are manufactured in Eibar, in the Basque gun making region in the north of Spain. Garbi is a Basque word, which means, “clean” and is an acronym formed from the initials of the names of the firm’s founders. “G” is for Guerrena Barrena, in charge of scale adjustments. “A” is for Alday, head of the engravers. “R” is for R. Churruca, who is in charge of assembly and final finish. “B” is for Barrenechea, the general manager of the company. “I” is for Irondo, an expert in adjustments and finishing of stocks. William Larkin Moore & Co. has been importing the fine line of Garbi shotguns since 1975 and we have had excellent success with them.
